'Lenora's Sin', is a novel by Sara A. Burk that has recently been published by Stone-Hill Publishing Company. The book is based on a true story and tells a rags-to riches tale of romance, infidelity, and murder. Written with finesse, Burk takes a nostalgic look back to the turn of the century in the early 1900s. The story takes place in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, Burk's hometown.
The story is told of Lenora and Fred Donovan, who in August of 1901, left their home in Richmond, Virginia, and found a new and
very different life in Little Rock. After years of living in near-poverty,
Fred suddenly finds himself in a place of high esteem, known to all in the community as a well-respected businessman. With the elevated social status, comes temptations hard to resist. One moment of weakness set in motion a series of tragic events, causing Lenora to
feel that she is somehow being punished by a higher power. Was it
just a guilty conscience? Were these things happening to her by
coincidence; or was she actually experiencing the effects of Karma?
